Between land and sea, the Pavillon de Ravenoville welcomes you for a most relaxing stay in an exceptional setting. Its decor, blending classicism with a maritime ambiance, will make you feel right at home. Depending on the number of guests, you can choose to rent the entire house (8 people) or just one of the two apartments, for 4 people. The Pavillon is the perfect place to create family memories that will last a lifetime. Don’t hesitate, now is the time to drop anchor at Domaine de Ravenoville, near the famous D-Day beaches! Like its two companions—the Pigeon Tower and the Manor—the Pavillon boasts 17th-century architecture and stands before a charming French-style garden, where every detail has been carefully crafted. The Pavillon has a unique feature: a superb view of the romantic architecture of the Manor and the Pigeon Tower. Whether with family or friends, you will appreciate the warm and welcoming atmosphere, both cozy and convivial, typical of country houses.

The Pavillon de Ravenoville offers 2 apartments.

Faithfully restored thanks to the serendipitous discovery of a postcard, the Pavillon is now divided into two apartments, each with two bedrooms. This layout allows for gathering together while also maintaining privacy and independence, should it be needed. The ground-floor apartment follows the Manor’s style, with a large, comfortable living room adorned with wood paneling and a grand fireplace. The first-floor apartment, with its “Yacht Club” atmosphere, pays homage to the maritime world, inviting escape with its lofty ceilings.

Location History

Nothing remained of the Pavilion in 2016, except for a façade that could be imagined as being beautiful in its day. The building had no roof, it was simply covered by an asbestos sheet of metal. Despite our research in the archives, we found no information on the buildings. However, some months later, a providential discovery of an old postcard was made. On it could be vaguely seen a ruined building covered with vine. This allowed the architect from Bâtiments de France to reconstitute the design of the façade and its various decorations. As the reconstitution progressed, the architecture of the building revealed itself; a subtle mix between the end of the renaissance period and the beginning of Louis XIII period. Pierres d’Histoire decided to reconstruct the building identical to the main façade and to recreate on the other side, as well as in the big central common, openings respecting the original masonry work. Once again thousands of bricks were recuperated and used. The result is a masterpiece of equilibrium for an average size building (roughly 100 sq.meters). It gives onto an old farm courtyard reconverted into a simple garden “à la française”.
