What time can I check in and what time must I check out of my Pierres d'Histoire house?

You may access the property from 4:00 PM on the day of your arrival. Check-out is available until 11:00 AM at the latest (except on Sundays). On Sundays, Pierres d’Histoire waives the check-out time, allowing you to decide your own departure time.

If I encounter a problem during my stay, who should I contact?

For any issue during your stay, you can contact the house manager. Their contact details are included in your booking confirmation email. They are available by phone to assist you and answer any questions.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel your reservation online or by contacting us at +33 1 84 83 04 00. Cancellation is free for flexible rates more than 7 days before arrival and for standard rates more than 30 days before arrival. Otherwise, for standard rates, cancellation fees apply (30 to 15 days before arrival: 30% fee; less than 15 days before arrival: 100% fee) (see Terms and Conditions).

If we notice significant damage to the property or furniture caused by improper use or intentional actions, additional charges will be applied. However, a security deposit may be required before arrival for certain properties.

Are Pierres d'Histoire houses accessible to people with reduced mobility?

Accepted Answer

Most of our houses are not accessible to people with reduced mobility due to their often historic architecture, narrow staircases, doors that are not wide enough, etc. Please contact us to learn which of our properties are accessible.

Are Pierres d'Histoire houses suitable for children?

Accepted Answer

Yes, most Pierres d’Histoire houses are child-friendly and feature outdoor spaces where children can play and explore. However, some houses may be less suitable for very young children due to their proximity to water features such as swimming pools or rivers, or because of staircases. In the event of an incident, Pierres d’Histoire declines all responsibility. For more information about a property's facilities, please contact us.

Our houses are often located in the countryside, in quiet and peaceful settings. To reach the property, explore the surrounding area, or do some shopping, having a vehicle is recommended.

Before your arrival, you will receive an email with all the necessary information for your check-in, including the key box code for your house.

Reservations are made online using a bank card through our fully secure website. We do not accept any other payment methods, and no payments can be made on-site.

The payment is automatically charged 7 days before your arrival.

Does the price include half-board?

Accepted Answer

No, meals are not included in the service. Our kitchens are fully equipped so you can prepare your own meals. However, if you would prefer not to cook, most of our houses offer catering services provided by carefully selected local caterers. Our caterers prepare everything themselves and use local products.

Is housekeeping included?

End-of-stay cleaning is included in the rental price. If you would like daily housekeeping service, it is available upon request and subject to availability for an additional €25 per hour. For stays longer than one week, a mid-stay cleaning of common areas (bathrooms and kitchen) and a change of bed linen are provided free of charge.

Do I need to clean before leaving?

A full cleaning is carried out after your departure. However, out of respect for the housekeeping staff, guests are asked to leave the house in the condition in which they found it. Trash bins must be emptied and the dishwasher started.

Yes, upon request we can provide a baby cot and a wooden high chair. Please inform your house manager when you first make contact. However, bed sheets for baby cots are not provided.

The houses are heated (radiators and fireplaces or wood stoves) but are not air-conditioned.

Yes, every Pierres d’Histoire kitchen is equipped with a stovetop, an oven, and a refrigerator. They also include cookware and various kitchen utensils.
