Welcome to Pierres d’Histoire, a platform for booking historic accommodations, stays, experiences and related services operated by Pierres d’Histoire, a company incorporated under [legal form], registered with the Trade and Companies Register of [city] under number [SIREN], with its registered office located at [address]. These Terms of Use (hereinafter the "Terms") govern the use of the website available at: https://pierresdhistoire.com. Any use of the Site implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms.

Article 1 – Definitions

Offer: refers to any stay, experience or gift voucher offered on the Site. Pierres d’Histoire Partners: refers to third-party service providers (lessors, managers, service providers) whose services may be listed on the Site. Site: refers to the website https://pierresdhistoire.com. User: refers to any person consulting the Site or likely to make a reservation on it.

Article 2 – Acceptance of the Terms

By accessing the Site, the User acknowledges having read and accepted these Terms without reservation. Use of the Site is restricted to individuals aged 18 or older with legal capacity. Pierres d’Histoire reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. The date of the most recent update appears at the bottom of this document.

Article 3 – Description of the Site and Services

In accordance with Law No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy, the identities of the parties involved are provided: Owner: Pierres d’Histoire. Publication Director: [Name / Position]. Hosting Provider: [Name / Address of the hosting provider]. The purpose of the Site is to enable the booking of historic accommodations and related services. The services offered include searching and viewing accommodation and experience offers, viewing detailed descriptions of each property, booking and paying online through the MEWS platform, purchasing and using gift vouchers, and subscribing to the Pierres d’Histoire newsletter.

Article 4 – Access to the Site

Access to the Site and consultation of the offers are free of charge. Certain features (booking, payment) require the submission of personal information. The User agrees to provide accurate and complete information.

Article 5 – Booking Process via MEWS

Bookings are made directly online through the MEWS engine integrated into the Site. The User selects an offer, enters their information and confirms the reservation. Payment is made by credit card via MEWS Payments. The reservation is confirmed by an email automatically sent by MEWS on behalf of Pierres d’Histoire. Cancellation, modification and refund conditions are provided at the time of booking and reiterated in the General Terms of Sale accessible to the User.

Article 6 – Liability

Pierres d’Histoire undertakes to use all reasonable means to ensure the proper functioning of the Site. However, it cannot guarantee the complete absence of errors or interruptions. Pierres d’Histoire shall not be held liable for damages resulting from improper use of the Site, interruptions due to maintenance, updates or events beyond its control, or indirect damages (loss of data, commercial loss, etc.).

Article 7 – Intellectual Property

The overall structure of the Site and all elements composing it (texts, visuals, logos, graphic charter, domain name, etc.) are protected by the French Intellectual Property Code and remain the exclusive property of Pierres d’Histoire. Any reproduction, representation or distribution without prior authorization is prohibited.

Article 8 – Personal Data

Pierres d’Histoire collects and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data collected: first name, last name, email, phone number, booking data. Purposes: booking management (via MEWS), marketing communication, statistics. Retention period: up to 5 years from the last contact or last booking. Sub-processing: certain data are processed by MEWS Systems B.V. (booking service provider). User rights: access, rectification, deletion, portability, objection (to be exercised via [DPO contact email]).

Article 9 – Cookies

The Site uses cookies to improve the browsing experience and measure audience metrics. Some cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the Site; others require the User’s consent. The User may manage their preferences at any time through the cookie management module integrated into the Site.

Article 10 – Amendments to the Terms

Pierres d’Histoire reserves the right to amend these Terms. Any new version will be published on the Site together with the corresponding update date.

Article 11 – Governing Law and Jurisdiction
