Inauguration of La Galerie:

a new chapter is being written at Château de Fleury

On 17 September 2026, Château de Fleury inaugurated La Galerie, its 100 m² seminar room, along with seven new apartments set between the cour d'honneur and the farm courtyard. Ten years after the opening of La Poterne, the château enters a new chapter.

"A new chapter in the history of this château is being written today."

With these words, Isabelle Bettan, Managing Director of Pierres d'Histoire, opened the official inauguration on Thursday 17 September. At her side were Gilles Daumas, mayor of Fleury-en-Bière, Antoine de Ganay, owner of the château, and Pierre Florian Marchant, partner and antique dealer-decorator.

Partners, local businesses and journalists discovered the new spaces before sharing a brunch prepared by Virginie Legrand.

Nearly five centuries of successive layers

In 1550, Côme Clausse, royal notary and former secretary to the dauphins François and Henri, the future Francis I and Henry II, had the outbuildings built around the tower. The building would remain unfinished for nearly two centuries. Extension works led by Charles Dufresnoy followed in 1770, then the rehabilitation undertaken by Martine de Béhague from 1910.

In 2016, Pierres d'Histoire began the restoration with La Poterne, a remarkable house perched in the château's cour d'honneur, converted into two bedrooms. Three apartments were added in 2018 in the tower and the north outbuildings. In 2026, seven new apartments and a meeting room complete the ensemble.

Seven new apartments between the courtyards

The seven new apartments sit between the cour d'honneur and the farm courtyard, including Le Côme and La Réserve, The Tour Astrée now opens to guests as well. The château now has 13 bedrooms, spread across the north tower, the south tower, the poterne and the north and south outbuildings.

La Galerie

Your countryside seminar, less than an hour from Paris

La Galerie, the new seminar room in the heart of Château de Fleury, covers 100 m². It adapts to the format of your meeting: classroom style for training, U-shape for a working seminar, a large banquet table for a management committee, cabaret style for workshops. The number of participants varies with the layout, from small management committees to larger groups.

Between two sessions, the park takes over: a walk along the canal, north and south gardens, centuries-old trees. The estate extends over 60 hectares.

Fleury thus becomes the fourth Pierres d'Histoire estate equipped for seminars, after Richebourg, Courances, and Ravenoville.

Safeguarding heritage, giving it a future

Safeguarding French heritage also means giving it a future. A société à mission since 2025, Pierres d'Histoire donates a contribution to the Fondation Mérimée on every stay, and continues at Fleury the restoration begun ten years ago.
